	Thursday, November 18, 2021 Wind Bathing Sun bathing is not healthy for guinea pigs. They can handle a little bit of sunlight, but prolonged direct exposure can be very dangerous. So they should always have a cave to retreat to. That's why they're called cavies! At least he brought an umbrella, so he's not totally exposed. This is exactly what happened to us the first or second time we went to the beach around here. The wind coming off the water can be very strong, so you always have to point the umbrella into the wind. At least it didn't blow away. But after that we just kept the umbrella on our patio at home. It was too much trouble.
