	Tuesday, November 16, 2021 First Wave That's about right. One thing missing is the giant piles of rotten seaweed surrounded by buzzing flies that are on most of the beaches around here. At least there isn't really that much trash washing up on shore. Also not depicted is the experience of having a glob of deep sea tar wash up on you and get stuck permanently to your skin. Even though the SoCal beaches are among the most famous in the world, they're still fairly hostile places.
