	Wednesday, April 23, 2025 Swimming Pool The pigs never drained the water bottle on purpose. But it has happened by accident. Most often, the little ball valve gets held partially open because a piece of hay gets in it, or it just gets jammed in a weird angle. Then by the end of the day all of the water has leaked out. That's not good, because it makes the cage liner damp which is bad for their feet. But it's so absorbent, even a full liner only makes about a quarter of the cage wet. The big accident, though, was when I dropped the water bottle and it cracked open, dousing half of the cage in an instant. Luckily the pigs were waiting on the other side, but I had to carefully dry things before putting the liner back on.
