Snail Alone
Poor Spotty actually got left behind at the fish hotel! We got all of our fish back in bags, and as I was picking them up I noticed Spotty was missing. I told the worker and we both went back and thoroughly searched the tank. He dredged the gravel, and we even examined the neighboring tanks in case she managed to sneak over. We figured somehow she must have escaped during transport to the hotel in the first place.
... Except one week later the store called up and said they found her! She was still in that tank, having hidden somehow the whole time. It was definitely her, she has some identifying marks on her shell. So she's still alive and well and back home with us now.
I forgot to mentioned it night before last, because it hadn't started yet, but yesterday was Fuzzy's birthday! He turned six, which is 60 in human years! We had a little party for him and he got presents. Of course there will be comics about it in the future.
