Variety
The real reason I went down this story line was just to get an opportunity to review the wide selection of vegetables we feed the pigs. As I've mentioned before, it's romaine every morning, but then we try to give them as wide a variety as possible for dinner. Celery, parsley, and carrots are some of their favorites. But in addition to peppers and frisée, they enjoy fennel, endive, radicchio, basil, dill, mint, dandelion greens, and more.
It is always worth looking up the safety when trying something new, though. Not only are things like onion and beans big no-no's, there are some green leaf vegetables that they can't eat as well, such as sorrel. And some that they can, but only in very small quantities without making them poot, like cabbage.
