	Monday, December 18, 2023 Other Options When we got Bean and Potato, we didn't just hop down to the local pet store and grab the first two pigs we saw. We actually went to six different pet stores and looked at all the guinea pigs they had. And we took pictures of all of them so we could review and remember everyone we met. The reason we didn't go to a rescue is the only rescue is more than an hour away, and at the time it would have been hard to get an appointment because of Covid. Plus we'd have to drive all the way there with Fuzzy for speed dating, which is a requirement for them to release companion pigs. We did actually end up getting both of them from the closest local pet store, but that's just a coincidence. These guys are all based on photos I took of some of the others.
