Potato Solution
Potato really did do a great job with his board game, that we got him for Christmas. It has two each of three different puzzles. A little well with a lid that lifts off, a trap door with a lever to open it, and a sliding panel with a compartment underneath. Each of the cubbies is large enough to store a small treat, like half of a baby carrot. We let Potato try first, but since there are so many treats, we figured the other pigs could try at the same time. We quickly realized that doesn't work too well, since the other piggies are smart enough to let Potato solve the hard stuff, and they can take the treat while his hands are full.
My favorite thing about the piggie board game is the "rulebook." "Always play this game with your pigs, don't make them play by themselves. Set up the board game by putting a treat in each compartment. The object of the game is for the pig to discover all of the treats." etc.
