	Thursday, December 15, 2022 Happy Birthday Fuzzy We got Fuzzy a cupcake-shaped chew toy for his birthday this year, which always falls on Labor Day because we bought him on a Labor Day holiday. We decorated it with basil leaves rolled up like candles, and a baby carrot on top. He did enjoy the carrot and the basil leaves, but Potato noticed the singing and everything and came to help "blow out the candles." We really did catch Fuzzy while he was grooming. Of course we didn't know, since we had been busy preparing the cake. Poor Fuzzy, if you look closely you can see his grooming liquid in the photo. Guinea pigs secrete a sort of hair conditioner from their tear glands, and that's how they keep themselves so shiny and clean. But it means if you catch them before done, there's white creamy goop in their eyes they haven't spread around yet.
