	Tuesday, August 30, 2022 Hygiene Break It was so cute when we saw this. Potato was starting to get bigger, so was kind of trying to challenge Fuzzy as alpha pig, just a little. So he came up and they were teeth chattering and rumble strutting at each other. Then Fuzzy stopped suddenly to groom his face for a minute. Potato waited patiently, then they went back to teeth chattering. I read later that this is actually a documented behavior in guinea pigs. The alpha pig will interrupt a stand-off with a challenger to groom, as a sign that, "after I win this, we'll still be friends, so don't worry about it." Which is funny, because it's exactly how it came off, even by human body language standards.
