Everyone who owns guinea pigs is familiar with the desperate wheeking every time you open the fridge or happen to have a vegetable in your hands. But our guinea pigs are right by the back door to the house. That means we don't walk right by them unless we're coming to play with and feed them, or less often we're going outside for some reason. If it's just an outside trip, they will let us know loudly that they prefer we give them attention rather than wasting time in the back yard. It's an especially rough guilt trip when carrying things back and forth to the grill!
