	Wednesday, September 22, 2021 Fast and Furriest We have a loquat tree in our back yard. A loquat looks like a kumquat, but is all juicy fruit inside. They are a common snack fruit in China, but you can't get them in the US unless you grow them yourself (or your neighbors do). They are extremely common in the Los Angeles area, but I think most people don't realize they're edible. We planted our tree shortly after we moved in and have been waiting years for it to bear fruit. When it finally did, individual fruit would go missing at night, to some neighborhood rodent. ... Also it's too good a pun not to base a whole story line on.
